Greetings!
Here I am again sharing with you an activity that helps in developing my son's recognition, building skills, and patience this time by using an Automobile 3D Puzzle. I actually blogged similar activities like this before using different 3D puzzle materials such as Two-story House 3D Puzzle, Windmill House 3D Puzzle, and House 3D Puzzle.
But this time the 3D puzzle that we used is a gift from one of my elder sisters as opposed to the first three activities where my wife bought the 3D puzzles from an online store. She said she saw that my son loves 3D puzzles so she bought some for him when she sees some 3D puzzles that are on sale at a mall near their house.
As soon as my elder gave him the 3D puzzle my son couldn't contain his excitement and wanted to build the 3D puzzle right away. So, I stumbled on taking photos of the whole process but sometimes he struggles with finding the correct position of some parts of the 3D puzzle.
Just like in the previous activities, I let him do the job of removing all the parts of the 3D puzzle from the plate.
My son removing the parts of the 3D puzzle from the plate
After he removed all the parts of the 3D puzzle from the plate I told him that he should look at the sample photo of the automobile from the guide that came with the 3D puzzle itself. We did not use the actual guide that came with the 3D puzzle because it is a bit complicated.
So, I just let him use his recognition skills by looking at the image of the automobile that came with the 3D puzzle. Slowly but surely he managed to recognize the main body parts of the 3D puzzle.
Joining the main body parts together
I helped him attach the underside of the automobile because he is struggling a lot testing his patience in the process.
The front bumper is one of the parts that he is still not familiar so I told him about it and then I let him find the part all by himself. It took quite some time before he found the front bumper.
Pushing the bumper into place
At some point, he is quite fast in recognizing the parts of the automobile and he is able to attach them without me being able to take a photo of it while he is attaching them.
After he managed to put together the main parts of the automobile I told him to push again all the parts to secure and attach them properly.
Tighthening up the connections
Below is a photo of the automobile after he put together the six main parts. At this state, the automobile is almost complete. He only needs to attach the remaining parts of the 3D puzzle.
After connecting the main body parts
Again, I let him stare at the photo of the automobile, and then I asked him what are the missing parts he responded by pinpointing the wheels. He is quite fast in recognizing the wheels but he struggled with the sizes (the front wheels are bigger than the rear wheels).
But after he understood about the sizes I just let him attach them all.

After he attached all the wheels it is now time to put the locks on the wheels. This time he struggled to attach some of the locks because they are quite tight. I noticed that his patience is running thin so I obliged in helping him before he broke them apart.

Just like I said earlier he is quite fast in recognizing and attaching some parts of the automobile which I was not able to take a photo of, but I was able to take a photo of him while he is attaching the side mirror.

And it is done without not noticing what actually happened during the whole process because it is quite easy for him to recognize and build the automobile together.
Below are some of the photos of the finished automobile 3D puzzle. It looks like Mater from the Cars movie isn't it?
