Summer vacation, many parents think it is only time for fun and leisure, well I think we can play a little with this and perform meaningful learning activities at home.
One of the areas that I like to teach my daughter at home is art, it is a practice that not only helps children in their overall development, but it is an experience full of color and different materials to give life to their creativity and imagination.
In this opportunity we will learn about mosaic art; an artistic work that is made with small pieces of stones, ceramics, glass or any other material of different shapes and colors, creating decorative abstract pieces.
So to make our piece of art, I organized for my daughter a series of materials, including some recycled ones, to give life to this simple mosaic.
Nothing difficult we just used a piece of cardboard, small pieces of foami of different colors, glue, paint and brush and as you can see all these materials together, gave life to a beautiful work of art.
Before starting this activity we researched what a mosaic is, we identified each material to use and at the end I asked my little girl, what she would like to create and she decided on a simple landscape.
So then we got down to work, although I only glued one or two pieces of foami, my little girl drew and glued each piece, according to its color until she finished her work of art.
When cutting out the cardboard I left a hole to hang our mosaic, because my little girl loves to exhibit her works of art, we loved the result and it was interesting to learn about this type of art.
My daughter undoubtedly developed her concentration, memory, creativity, visual-motor coordination, spatial perception, fine motor skills and patience to make her simple mosaic.
I can evaluate this activity as a practice of mindfulness and enjoyment that promotes a time of wellness in mental health, relaxation, happiness and self-confidence, I recommend it to learn together at home and spend quality time.
As you can see you do not need many materials to make mosaics at home, we can use different materials, for me as a mom for safety, I like to use paper, cardboard, foami, stones, although you can try with the material of your preference.
In the market there are different kits to create beautiful mosaics, but I like to recycle materials and create our own kit to create mosaics, so we can create art and help the planet earth. ♻️

Mosaicos aprendemos arte en casa
Vacaciones de verano, muchos padres piensan que solo es tiempo para diversión y ocio, pues creo podemos jugar un poco con esto y realizar actividades de aprendizaje significativo en casa.
Una de las áreas que me gusta enseñar a mi hija en casa es el arte, es una práctica que no solo les ayuda a los niños en su desarrollo integral, sino que es una experiencia llena de color y diferentes materiales para dar vida a su creatividad e imaginación.
En esta oportunidad aprenderemos sobre el arte con mosaico; una obra artística que se elabora con pequeñas piezas de piedras, cerámicas, vidrio o cualquier otro material de diferentes formas y colores, creando piezas abstractas decorativas.
Así que para realizar nuestra pieza de arte, organice para mí hija una serie de materiales, entre ellos algunos reciclados, para dar vida a este sencillo mosaico.
Nada difícil solo utilizamos una pieza de cartón, pequeños trozos de foami de diferentes colores, pegamento, pintura y pincel y como ven juntos todos estos materiales, dieron vida a una hermosa obra de arte.
Antes de comenzar esta actividad investigamos lo que es un mosaico, identificamos cada material a utilizar y al final le pregunté a mi niña, qué le gustaría crear y ella se decidió por un sencillo paisaje.
Así que luego nos pusimos manos a la obra aunque yo solo pegue uno que otro trozo de foami, mi pequeña dibujo y fue pegando cada trozo, según su color hasta terminar su obra de arte, previamente ya tenia el foami recortado, pues me gusta reciclarlo en pequeñas piezas.
Al recortar el cartón deje un orificio para poder colgar nuestro mosaico, porque a mí pequeña le encanta exponer sus obras de arte, el resultado nos encantó al igual que fue interesante, conocer sobre este tipo de arte.
Mi hija desarrollo sin duda su concentración, memoria, creatividad, su coordinación visual-motriz, percepción espacial, motricidad fina y paciencia para realizar su sencillo mosaico.
Puedo evaluar está actividad como una práctica de atención plena y disfrute que fomenta un tiempo de bienestar en la salud mental, relajación, felicidad y confianza en si mismos, lo recomiendo para aprender juntos en casa y pasar tiempo de calidad.
Como ven no se necesita muchos materiales para realizar mosaicos en casa, podemos utilizar diferente material, para mi como mamá por seguridad, me gusta utilizar papel, cartón, foami, piedras, aunque pueden probar con el material de su preferencia.
En el mercado hay diferentes juegos para crear hermosos mosaicos, pero me gusta reciclar materiales y crear nuestro propio kit, para crear mosaicos, así podemos crear arte y ayudar al planeta tierra. ♻️
