Hola a todos mis estimados amigos y miembros de esta comunidad tan hermosa que nos permite crecer juntos, antes que nada me disculpo por el tiempo que he estado lejos pero ya estoy de vuelta. En esta oportunidad deseo compartir con ustedes un poco lo que ha sido este regreso a la escuela para nuestros niños, niñas y jóvenes, si bien es cierto que en muchos países hace ya un tiempo el confinamiento termino y luego nuevamente se implementó y así sucesivamente en mí país apenas este mes de noviembre se dio por finalizado el confinamiento lo cual incluyó la apertura de las escuelas y la vuelta a clase de los chicos de forma presencial.

In my case, as I have mentioned in some posts, I am a teacher in an institution in the area of language and I am also a counselor. For me, this return to face-to-face classes has become extremely difficult because I have been in the dynamics of distance education for two years now. Particularly this return to school has served me to reinforce what I have been saying for a long time, education at home is undoubtedly the best option for our children and, for those who complain that it does not achieve the development of the social being, let me tell you that neither does school, It may have helped the development of interpersonal relationships and the strengthening of the capacity we have to establish social relationships with our peers but that is not possible today, I insist in saying that it is achieved much more in extra curricular activities such as art, sports and playgroups where children and young people have the opportunity to meet and learn the rules of social behavior.
En mi caso como les he comentado en algunos post soy docente en una institución en el área de lengua y además de ello soy orientadora para mí este regreso a las clases presenciales se ha tornado sumamente difícil debido a que, ya son dos años en la dinámica de la educación a distancia. Particularmente este regreso a las escuelas me ha servido para reforzar lo que he venido diciendo desde hace mucho tiempo la educación en casa es sin lugar a dudas la mejor opción para nuestros chicos y, para quienes se quejan de que en ella no se consigue el desarrollo del ser social déjenme decirles que en la escuela tampoco, puede que en su momento esta haya ayudado al desarrollo de las relaciones interpersonales y el fortalecimiento de la capacidad que tenemos las personas para establecer relaciones sociales con nuestros pares pero eso en la actualidad no es posible, insisto en decir que se logra mucho más en actividades extra curriculares como el arte, el deporte y los grupos de juego donde los niños, niñas y jóvenes tienen la oportunidad de conocerse y aprender las reglas del comportamiento social.

A couple of weeks ago when the institution where I work started classes with primary school I could see how the children no longer felt at ease at school, as even though their classmates were there who had time to those who did not come they could not relate to them because of the biosecurity rules that are strictly followed for their welfare, it should be noted that again the cases of covid-19 virus is increasing and there is already talk of a third wave where perhaps we will return to the confinement. In this sense, I was able to observe students who refused to follow instructions, others who did not want to copy the classes and many who did not even want to talk to the teacher, almost all the children were afraid to be in school and, yes, it may be because they were just coming out of the confinement with the threat of returning to it.
Hace un par de semanas cuando en la institución donde trabajo se iniciaron las clases con primaria pude evidenciar como los niños y niñas ya no sentían a gusto en la escuela, como por más que estaban sus compañeros de clase que tenían tiempo a los que no venían no podían relacionarse con ellos por las normas de bioseguridad que se siguen de forma estricta por su bienestar, cabe destacar que nuevamente los casos del virus covid-19 va en aumento y ya se habla una tercera ola donde quizá volveremos al confinamiento. En este sentido, pude observar a estudiantes que se negaban a seguir instrucciones, otros que no querían copiar las clases y muchos que ni siquiera deseaban hablar con la maestra, casi todos los chicos tenían temor de estar en la escuela y, sí puede que sea por estar apenas saliendo del confinamiento con la amenaza de volver a el.

One of the observations I made to teachers after weeks of attending to children and young people with stress, nervous breakdowns and, in short, resistance to return to school was not to force learning, if anything should remain from all this is that the school must definitely change, today we are facing students who have become autonomous not only in the way they learn but in what they really need; Students who learned to distribute their time without the need for absurd and strict schedules, who learned the value of home education and the tools that not only technology provides but many other ways to learn such as playing, cooking, planting trees, home care and a myriad of strategies such as those we have shown and developed the members of this community and that are and will be a better option for learning than sitting at a desk at school for 8 hours of their lives.
Una de las observaciones que realice a los docentes tras semanas de atención a niños, niñas y jóvenes con estrés, crisis de nervios y en resumen resistencia al regreso a clases era no forzar el aprendizaje, si algo debe quedarnos de todo esto es que la escuela en definitiva debe cambiar, hoy estamos frente a estudiantes que se han vuelto autónomos no sólo en la forma de aprender sino en lo que realmente necesitan; estudiantes que aprendieron a distribuir su tiempo sin necesidad de absurdos y estrictos horarios, quienes aprendieron el valor de la educación en casa y de las herramientas que brinda no sólo la tecnología sino muchas otras formas de aprender como el juego, la cocina, plantar árboles, cuidado del hogar y un sinfín de estrategias como las que hemos mostrado y desarrollado los miembros de esta comunidad y que son y serán una mejor opción para aprender que estar 8 horas de su vida sentados en un pupitre en la escuela.
To close this reflection I must state from my personal experience that the formal school must change, because our reality has changed and our children and young people are no longer the same, today we have more critical students and focused on their abilities in what they can and want to achieve, today we must commit ourselves to change education and leave that absurd thought that only in the cold walls of schools you can learn, nothing could be further from the truth.
Para cerrar esta reflexión debo manifestar desde mi experiencia personal que la escuela formal debe cambiar, pues nuestra realidad ha cambiado y nuestros niños, niñas y jóvenes ya no son los mismos, en la actualidad tenemos estudiantes más críticos y centrados en sus capacidades en aquello que pueden y desean alcanzar, hoy debemos nosotros comprometernos con el cambio de la educación y dejar ese absurdo pensamiento que solo en las frías paredes de las escuelas se puede aprender, nada más alejado de la verdad.
