Greetings Dear readers of this beautiful community Hive account@homeedders, on this occasion I want to share with you some guidelines that I have been providing to various colleagues and colleagues in the area of reading in which I I specialize. I regularly make my contributions online, since I have a baby who is just turning one year old today and I don't want to miss his first steps.

Before I let you know my contributions, I would like to explain a little about the context. Here in Venezuela, the educational system is inclined towards the benefit of the student in all aspects. This is sometimes distorted and on some occasions it only ends up harming the child because the responsibilities of those responsible for their education are made more flexible. It turns out that one of my colleagues writes to me a little distressed because in his 5th grade classroom he has a boy who has not yet mastered reading, specifically he only knows how to write his name. It should be noted that for this 5th grade of basic education, children range in age from 9, 10 or 11 years. So it is worrying that a boy at this age can only write his name.

Our educational system is inclined to evaluate the child in other competencies apart from the conventional ones, inclining us to explore their potential in other areas. Then they will be the ones that qualify you and give you the approval of the current grade for the next one. In other words, to highlight and explore what he has mastered and to leave a little observation for what he has not achieved. Although reading is essential, its mastery in my country is not a limitation to pass a grade. That is why I say that in some cases instead of benefiting the child, it is harming him. I believe that it is extremely difficult for the child to adapt in a classroom in which most of his classmates are already proficient in reading. Therefore, the child will feel out of phase with the environment.

A child who fails to achieve reading and writing skills like the group in the classroom, will begin to take other attitudes to occupy their time during the school day; such as playing, inviting others to play, talking, constantly getting up from your seat. Since it is not located in time and space in terms of responsibilities in the classroom. Before them we must arm ourselves with other strategies so that he fulfills the objective of the day.

Cuando un estudiante de avanzada edad no tiene dominio de la lectura, Observa:

• ¿Se distrae con facilidad?

• ¿Trae algún antecedente de déficit de atención?

• ¿Sus actividades en general están quedando incompletas durante la jornada?.

• ¿No comprende con exactitud las orientaciones ni de forma oral y escrita para realizar las actividades?

Esta serie de interrogantes te ira indicando si el estudiante solo está limitado en su área de lectura.

En muchos de los casos el niño Puede sentir frustración al ver que no cumplen las competencias del resto de sus compañeros.

When an older student lacks reading proficiency, Observe:

• Are your activities in general being incomplete during the day?

• Do you not understand exactly the guidelines or orally and in writing to carry out the activities?

This series of questions will tell you if the student is only limited in their reading area.

In many cases, the child may feel frustrated when they see that they do not meet the competencies of the rest of their classmates.

• Leer es importante para la vida, más que por la fluidez que tenga el estudiante al leer. Ya cuando un niño tiene avanzada edad y no logra dar el paso para unir ideas y leer, debemos tomar acciones rápidas que le permitan sentir la confianza para desenvolverse en el entorno.

• Leer le permite al niño discernir, determinar de qué forma realizará las actividades en el la escuela, de lo contrario deberá esperar siempre que otros den el primer paso para ir detrás orientándose.

Reading allows the child to discern, to determine how he or she will carry out activities at school, otherwise they will always have to wait for others to take the first step in order to get their bearings.

• Su toma de decisiones queda desfasada de sus necesidades, porque quizás comprende lo que debe hacer, tendrá ideas propias pero se verá limitado a iniciar y plasmar sus propios conceptos.

Your decision-making is out of phase with your needs, because you may understand what you need to do, you will have your own ideas, but you will be limited to starting and shaping your own concepts.

Que puedo hacer mientras llega la ayuda:

• Identifica con ayuda de la madre, psicopedagoga y psicóloga el historial del pequeño. Su desarrollo y las dificultades que ha afrontado para el proceso lector.

• En el caso que te comentaba de mi colega, el niño viene de otro estado y por ende no hay un seguimiento en cuanto a psicopedagogo o psicólogo en ese colegio, tampoco tiene ningún informe adicional. Sencillamente se ha dejado pasar el tiempo porque el niño tiene otras competencias, como jugar futbol y tocar un instrumento musical (el cuatro).

• Ante todo si el niño está asistiendo diariamente, muestra interés por su puntualidad y responsabilidad.

• Inicia por desarrollar un vocabulario básico, tal y como si estuvieras enseñando otro idioma. Por ejemplo cuando vamos a iniciar con el idioma ingles vamos aprendiendo una serie de palabras básicas que están inmersas en nuestro vocabulario.

• Es importante que el niño aprenda a escribir su nombre, el de sus padres, sus hermanos, la mascota; y las palabras básicas de su vocabulario diario. En ellas puede haber complicidad entre tú y él estudiante acerca de lo que él desea aprender inicialmente. Esto con la finalidad de trabajar su confianza. Es importante para todo ser poder escribir su nombre, apellido, el de sus padres, fecha de nacimiento. Y todo aquello que los identifica en su presente como seres sociales. De allí en adelante podemos incluir los días de la semana, los meses del año y de manera progresiva el niño ira introduciendo más palabras a su vocabulario.

• Puedes elaborar pequeñas fichas en las cuales se escriba su nombre y las palabras básicas que va a ir aprendiendo en el día. Luego puede ser más interactivo el proceso. Como un juego De búsqueda de palabras en cual sea el quien escoja cual aprender.

You can make small cards on which you write your name and the basic words that you are going to learn during the day. Then the process can be more interactive. Like a word search game in which the one who chooses which one to learn.

• El proceso de asociación usado para aprender otros idiomas también es sumamente beneficioso y así se fija más el aprendizaje en el niño; esto en caso de que observes alguna dificultad para memorizar sonidos. Al relacionar la palabra con la imagen el niño recordará con mayor facilidad su escritura. Considera el hecho de que el estudiante en esta etapa, aprenderá más por asociación que por repetición de sonidos. Estás ante un pequeño que no fue atendido en sus procesos de enseñanza, por lo tanto aunque se ve de avanzada edad considera que su mente esta en blanco para leer. Aunado a todas las veces que fue forzado a dicho aprendizaje sin las herramientas adecuadas.

The association process used to learn other languages is also extremely beneficial and thus fixes the learning more on the child; this in case you notice any difficulty memorizing sounds. You are facing a child who was not attended to in his teaching processes, therefore, although he looks elderly, he considers that his mind is blank to read. Then we move forward with the elaboration of short stories, here are included first only three images that the child elaborates to describe a story orally, later the child will write key words that describe their tale. There you will be adding new words to their vocabulary. In this case, the story is approached from the musical interest of the child. As you observe, you will be working with him, coherence, creativity and new words. It is a long process, but it must be attended to as soon as possible.

It is important, as indicated at the beginning, the approach of the specialist so that he gives you a clear diagnosis of the child. In the same way, I can assure you that the greatest motivation to learn is interest.
