Hello community!
My son was obsessed with rainbows or most precisely, with the colors and their order in a rainbow. He still align his toys in Rainbow colors, from Red to Purple. 🌈
And over the time, I set up for Caleb a lot of Rainbow activities in order to develop his color recognition skills, fine motor skills, logical skills etc. Pretty much what I considered to be fun and engagement on such an early age.
So here they are or at least a few of them.
Pom Pom Color Association
My son was 1yr and 10mo here.
As you can see, I printed a Rainbow color sort sheet I found online, put some pom poms in a small basket and that it. Caleb had to take all pom poms and sort them by color.
I also showed him how to work with wooden tweezers, but he wasnt interested back then. But that was not a problem. His tiny little hands did all the job and I was so proud!
Here I leave you the template I used, maybe it helps you too.
Rainbow Puzzle
This is something really easy to set up. All you need is cardboard, colors and scissors.
I dont think there's much to say here other than just my kid loved it!! It's a versatile material and children can play with it in several ways, it depends on their own creativity.
You can also paint the material together with your child and thus add more learning to this activity.
The basic thing I thought with this activity was the puzzle and kids need to develop logical skills, concentration and attention in order to finish this rainbow puzzle. Also puzzles are great for motor kills, problem solving and hand-eye coordination.
Rainbow Painting
This was one of the most favorite things my son loved to do. He still does. Coloring and painting.
There has been a lot of rainbow coloring and painting over the time.
Crepe Paper Rainbow
Fine Motor Skills at work everyone!
This was so fun to make. It's not our firt time working with crepe paper and glue. Caleb likes it and I set up this activity for him, from time to time, depending on the theme we're studying.
You need glue and crepe paper. Cut in small pieces and let the children do their job.
Crayons Rainbow
Told ya' my son was obsessed with rainbows. Here's how he arranged all of his colors.
Rainbow Painting Technique
This is very easy to do with little children, my son enjoyed it a lot. I'm thinking of doing this again soon.
The process is easy, as you can see in the pictures below. You need acrylic paint. Put all the colors in the middle of the page like this and then using a brush, drag the colors left and right.
I still have some more but this post is already a long, but promise there will be a second part of Rainbow Activities for toddlers! 🌈
So what are you saying, would you try some of these activities with your children? Surely they are bright and colorful! If you have a favorite, leave a comment down below! I would like to know what that is.
Thank you all for reading and wish you a wonderful weekend! 🌈
Take care, missdeli 😍
