Hey guys,
If you need some quick ideas on Fruits Theme, here's something we did and it was a cool activity to do for my little one.
This coloring activity is perfect for children who love to paint/draw but also it can be a good start for the ones who're not so much into coloring/painting.
Now, my son is 3yrs and 4mo, but in the period of 2-3yrs he ADORED anything that involved painting and coloring. He would ask for it everyday. So I used that to learn some new things about fruits.
We first colored some fruits and then do the painting.
In this picure above, you can see what other learning resources I used and those are 3 books, one in our language. It is an USBORNE book called "It all starts with a seed. How food grows" and the other one is a book called "1000 words in English" so I opened the book to Fruits page where are both Romanian and English names for many fruits, as you can easily see that.
And the third book, which is on the table, is called "Apple and other fruits" in English translation but you wont find it. It's only a version written in Romanian.
I also used something called Montesori flashcards Fruits theme, to represent fruits and observe their color or shape.
Other then this, I printed some coloring pages and here we go! Coloring and learning about fruits.
Caleb was 2 and 6mo here.
These are the flash cards, with photo and name of the fruit. And on the back side there are a few words of each fruit.
PAINTING with a wine cork
There's not much to say about this one.
Painting was and always will be our go to activity.(well hmmm....I dont know about that! Opps! Kids change...yup! Anyways, we'll enjoy it until it lasts.
We stayed outside and had fun with these. You can continue making a lot more fruits if you want to. We only did cherries, straberries and grapes. 🍓🍇🍒
I kept asking questions to my toddler about fruits, talking and learning about them. I insisted on English learning though.
For this activity you only need a wine cork and colors. We used acrylic paint.
I think the result was quite beautiful. I should try do this again since the little one enjoyed it and I dont think he'll get bored. They love to repeat things.
And let's not forget that even if my son was very concentrate and had patience to do all this painting, in the end he's just a kid. A toddler who love to feel cause thats how they learn. Sensory activities and learning are essential to this age!
Here it is!
He just couldnt help it anymore! 🤣
I bet he felt like "Now I'm done! This was a must!" 🤣😁
Well, this is for today! I really hope you enjoy my post and its useful for you!
Stay healthy my dears!
Love, missdeli 😍
