Hola, el día de hoy me puse en modo reciclaje creativo, aunque todo ésto es debido a una buena causa 😊
Resulta que en la escuela de mi hija, iban a realizar un acto, donde cada niño debía llevar algún instrumento para tocar en la actividad. Muchos de ellos no llevaron nada y la actividad se suspendió, asi que mi hija me pidió hacer un tambor, para poder tocar con sus amiguitos 😊

It turns out that at my daughter's school, they were going to perform an act, where each child had to bring an instrument to play in the activity. Many of them did not bring anything and the activity was suspended, so my daughter asked me to make a drum, so she could play with her little friends 😊
Lo primero fue conseguir un envase de pintura. Lo mas probable es que se encuentre bastante sucio, asi que limpiarlo lo mejor posible sería la prioridad 😊
Yo lo hice con lavaplatos liquido y una espátula de metal. Asi pude raspar toda la pintura seca y restos de la etiqueta.
The first thing was to get a container of paint. Most likely, it will be quite dirty, so cleaning it as best as possible would be the priority 😊
I did it with dishwashing liquid and a metal spatula. This way I was able to scrape off all the dried paint and traces of the label.
Lo siguiente, vendría siendo la parte mas complicada, fue simplemente hacer un agujero con una cuchilla y meter unos tornillos, éstos sostendrán los ganchos para las cuerdas. Aunque, si no los tienes, puedes meter la cuerda y hacer un nudo del otro lado, funcionará igual de bien 😊
The next thing, which would be the most complicated part, was simply to make a hole with a blade and insert some screws, these will hold the hooks for the strings. Although, if you don't have them, you can put the rope in and tie a knot on the other side, it will work just as well 😊
Forrarlo fue fácil, aunque tuve que usar un truco que les compartiré. Si usaba silicón caliente, posiblemente se despegaria del envase, al ser un plástico muy liso.
Asi que lo que hice fue colocar 3 tiras de cinta de papel al rededor y fue ahí donde coloque el silicón, es un buen truco que puede funcionar para envases de vidrio tambien 😊
Lining it was easy, although I had to use a trick that I will share with you. If you used hot silicone, it would possibly detach from the container, as it is a very smooth plastic.
So what I did was put 3 strips of paper tape around it and that's where I put the silicone, it's a good trick that can work for glass containers too 😊
Una vez teniendo la base ya forrada, es turno de la decoración y ya de aquí en adelante, si podemos utilizar silicón caliente. Los tambores tienen una característica cuerda que se utiliza para tensar el cuero de la parte superior, aunque aquí serán solo decorativas

Para que se viera lo menos posible que se trata de un envase de pintura, pegué un poco de tela en la parte superior, para disimular un poco el plástico 😊
To make it less visible that it is a paint container, I glued a bit of fabric on top, to hide the plastic a bit 😊
Por último, agregué un borde brillante y unas cuentas estrellas por todo el contorno. Asi deberia sobresalir en las fotos del evento 😊
Lastly, I added a glittery border and some star beads all around. This is how it should stand out in the photos of the event 😊
Un día después, ya mi hija tenia su tambor en casa, lista para llevarlo a la escuela y poder animar a todos a participar. Ya hay 2 instrumentos, un tambor y una maraca, con un par mas, formamos la orquesta 😂
