Teaching my son how to Identify Basic Shapes and their Real Life Examples in our Homeschool

The last time I told you guys that my son requested for a break in mathematics so we took some time to learn about pronunciation and phonology. I know that my son has phobia for mathematics, the best way to return to our mathematics classes is to introduce basic shapes to him. He'll love this topic because we'll be studying and carving some of the shapes. I know that'll fight who'll hold the scissors and the measurement tape. From the basic shapes we'll go into proper mathematics in our next mathematics class. Basic Shapes to Consider in Today's Lesson
There numerous basic shapes that'll my son needs to know and identify, but for today's class we'll concentrate on the following; square, circle, triangle, oval, rectangle, cube, rhombus, heart, and arrow.

Basic Shapes and their Properties

• Rectangle
  Rectangle is a very unique shape with four corners and has two equal sides. An example of rectangular shape is our buses, match box and cars.

• Square
  A square has four corners like the rectangle but the difference is that in terms of the square are the sides are equal. Examples of squares are small houses and huts

• Triangle
  A triangle like it's called has three sides that are equal. Mountains and Hills are triangle in shape. Also our Christmas tree 🎄🎄🎄🎄 is triangle in shape.

• Circle
  The shape is a round shape. Examples are motor and motorcycle wheel, round tray pan, football ⚽⚽,

• Oval
  Oval shapes are round but are not perfectly round like the circle. Am example of the oval shape is the 🥚🥚🥚

• Rhombus
  Rhombus is like a diamond 💎💎💎💎 shape.

• Cube

• Arrow

• Trapezium

• Hearts

Items used in cutting the shapes include:

• Scissors
• cardboard paper
• water gum
• Measurement tape

Finally, doing practicals such as this one in our homeschool is usually hectic because my son will always want to do what you're doing and at some point help to spoil what his doing. At least he can identify the various shapes mentioned above. Thanks for reading my post
