I've created my own way of unschooling study for my son. The main point of it is diving all necessary topics and subjects into blocks, and then we devote 1-2 weeks for each of them, without mixing info every day, like it happens at schools.
I think it works better, and I see good results of this approach.
I didn't touch English for a long time because I didn't have a plan HOW I had to start. With what and how. Moreover, it should be interesting.
I had several textbooks for the 1st form kids but I didn't like them. Just words, just letters, just remembering. Brr....nothing special. Boring even for me!
I was sure I would find something good. And the Universe send me a real gift! 🎆
It's a book that was created for beginners in English, who make their first steps. Its author is Granik, a famolus author of educational books.
And its method was so surprising for me....
This book combines English + Russian in 1 sentence and uses fairytales to remember new words.
Each chapter has a list of words, exercises to remember them, better to say games, and a fairytale where these words are used. Perfect!🌟
It's a fairytake about Winnie-the Pooh;)
Do you see it's written in Russian but with English phrases.
I thought it was wrong to combine mother tongue and a foreigh language in one sentence, but this book has proved me it works FINE!
My son remembers words very easy and fast. He likes all games with words, and he loves these fairytales.
English is NOT boring and hard for him now, and I am happy to have this book!
We've learned about 2 dozens of words, have read 4 fairytales, and the most important - he can use these words in everyday life.
Moreover, the book teaches kids not only words, but reading and writing as well!
We learn one letter in 1 lesson, we write it, we use clay to make it, and then we study to read it in combination with other letters - consonant + vowel.
Such a complex of exercises work really good and give good results.
So all who study English can use such a method as well✨
