Well as parents we decided that it was time for Diego and Isabella to finally get to know the Sea, both of them had only seen it on TV or through pictures but since they were born we had not been able to travel. I was born in a city near the sea and when I moved to where I live now I decided that I also wanted to be near a beach. Currently we live 5 kilometers from the sea, quite close if you want, the trip takes only 40 minutes but we did it in almost an hour because it was slow because our little ones were glued to the windows recognizing all the scenery.

The excitement of our children I have no way to describe it, they did not know more than the small gated community where we live were so excited that they did not know where to start even the first reaction was fear but I guess it is normal to the new and unknown, even for us as parents was the first experience of a family trip to the beach and I must confess that for the first time I observed the beach differently, because now I was not just looking for a good place to be and swim, no now I had to observe very well the place where children could be and you know how it is all that.

We arrived at a beautiful inn, simple and very natural where in addition to the rooms we had the beach service. Diego and Isabella did not understand anything until we began to explain to each of them where they were and the natural elements that surrounded us. Diego, although he likes to touch and feel the textures, found it a little difficult to be barefoot in the sand, of course we have insisted that he always wears shoes when he walks outside the house and he showed a little fear when he looked at the sea and its grandeur, his first question was: where does it end? To which I told her there is no end, well it was the first thing that came to my mind ha ha ha ha remember I am learning too. Isabella on the other hand showed a very reckless attitude that gave me terror, she simply ran into the sea and tried to grab the waves, with her we already know we must be much but much more alert because we were surprised that she was looking to recognize everything and touch it even some small crabs that were in the sand.

For us as a family it was a complete learning experience, we discovered new things about our children such as Isabella's determination and confidence to go into the unknown and that Diego needs a moment to process the new until he can trust. We were able to show the little ones the natural elements in their own environment and learn a little of the love and value of nature. We learned that a family trip is for our children because parents have the role of caregivers, protectors and educators. Outings to natural spaces are wonderful but it also involves planning when you have young children and especially knowing that you are doing everything for them. Thank you for reading my post, if you can please I appreciate your advice and opinions of outings with children in pandemic?
