I've heard about steemit for years but I really wasn't interested enough to have anything to do with it.
A few months ago, right after the hard-fork, I've finally decided to join this platform and believe me, it was the most complicated experience I've ever had. You might call me slow learner, but all the RC, vote power, power up && down and other matters regarding to this blockchain is time consuming to learn.
This made me wonder if there are any sites or posts whatever that gives me a basic overview of this blockchain in a way that dummies, not experienced developers, can understand. And a quick one too. The reason most social media succeed is due to it's ability to provide simplicity to the masses, I may be looking through the wrong place so any links below will be appreciated.
On another note, It seems that I am unable to update/upload my profile picture as I receive the error:
steem connect profile update not implemented yet
This is absolutely ridiculous, I cannot recall another social site that deny a user with this basic ability. However, It seems that many other new users aren't at all troubled by this and are able to upload one perfectly fine. I was sure the way to do it (and the only way I know) is through the
Esteem desktop app >>> Profile >>> Profile Editor.
I really do require assistance here and and info on this will be greatly appreciated.
As someone who followed blockchain technologies for nearly three years now, I have to admit that this particular blockchain founded by steem and "decentralized" through Hive has some amazing ideas behind it. Great effort made, and I am excited to join the #HiveFamily.
