I've noticed within the past few weeks that I cannot access PeakD or Hive.blog for up to a day at a time without using a VPN. I live in Canada, and I assume this is a local issue as routing privately through a US network connects just fine. Connecting through a European VPN works fine as well when I can't seem to connect locally.
More specifically, Hive.blog is often completely unreachable for periods of time, while PeakD just doesn't function and cannot connect to the Hive Node.
Because this is happening intermittently, I doubt my local ISP or government is blocking the Hive community. Sadly, I don't have enough information to track down where and how the failure is occurring.
I've also noticed that Steempeak and Steemit don't have this problem, so I have to conclude that something is either wrong with a local Hive node here in Canada, or a local DNS server is faulty and/or blocking Hive. If its the latter, I guess I should be thankful for VPN's.
I'm curious if anyone has this issue periodically with Hive, either in Canada or another country?
Thanks for dropping by.
