Hello hivans, today hive is celebrating her birthday.
I don't know much about hive because I'm new and just joined recently but the few things I learnt in a flash of things led me into research and I found something to write. Hive Blockchain has been an interesting Blockchain even before her independence as a single entity.
The Hive blockchain forked from our legacy chain and became an independent entity on the 20th March, 2020. This was a victorious day for all of us, and it was marvellous to watch it happen in such a cohesive manner. Certainly, there were obstacles in our way at first that tried to stop our wagons, but we had some enormous horses that pulled us forward despite the minor issues that arose. Witness nodes were reconfigured quickly and essential tools were made available in short order. It was a splendid event!
Immediately after things were settled into places, nothing looked much different on the surface except our shiny-new logo, but there were some changes below it. The most notable of which was the absence of very large ninja-mined stake held by one entity on-chain. With renewed Heartiness, developers went into an overdrive mode and in the past year there has been a flurry of new games, tools, tokens, mobile-apps, and Tribes with their own front-ends/interfaces.
