Some of ya'll may remember that I made a video right after the Hive announcement walking people through what everything meant and what they could expect to happen when the fork occurred on March 20th. Well, despite Justin Sun censoring that post from Steemit.com... it is still the top-performing crypto video I've ever made. Let's take a look at the analytics:
For a total of 1,498 views. I think this is a huge win in a few ways:
#1 - I think it's totally badass to have a video get more views on a decentralized platform like Three Speak than it did on Youtube. That's f*cking awesome.
#2 - Even though Justin Sun tried to have this post silenced by removing it from the Steemit frontend - it lived on with the Hive community and people found a way to watch it anyway.
#3 - I think this really shows that the larger crypto community is curious/interested in what is going on here. That many views isn't just everyday Hive/Steem users looking for clarity ... the analytics on the traffic tells me people are actually looking to learn more about what's happening - which is pretty damn cool.
My story about Justin removing this post ended up going semi-viral on Twitter with over 50k impressions on that one post, plus it sparked a post on Cointelegraph about the censorship issue on Steemit.
To end this post out... I can't think of a better way than to quote ... You can buy $HIVE, but you can't buy #HIVE.✊🏻
Thought you guys might enjoy hearing this fun tid-bit. Hope you are all doing well and adjusting to Quarantine life okay and hanging in there!
XO, Lea
