The screenshot is what I have been getting all day.
Every day I check on #steemnow to see how Steem is doing, and on my choice of exchange (thanks, ) to see if Steem is available for trading.
It's been on "Currency Maintenance" since well before Hive launched ... I wonder if someone either has failed to do basic maintenance and now has to figure it out by himself, or just wanted to control who could use the coin in general.
Before today, I just though the plan was to keep us who were leaving from taking our rightfully earned "honey" with us -- we could "abscond," but we would have to leave everything behind.
A pharoah in Egypt tried that once. Didn't come out well for him. But I digress. Go read Exodus 12-15 for details.
Anyway, that was my general impression until today...
For the first time, I couldn't get Steem Stats from -- the little message on the left-hand side said the site had been disconnected from the Steemit API.
My first thought: more censorship. Folks can't get their Steem, and anybody who had said they were leaving Steem but wanted to keep doing stats might be a target because people will be checking and watching their hard work disappearing and talking about their their anger if Steem collapses.
But then I went over to check on Steemit itself ... and, you see what I saw.
Anybody else getting this? Is Steemit down? Up and down? If so, how do we check on Steem and what we earned there?
