Similarweb.com is a web traffic ranking site. I am not entirely sure of their methodology, but I believe they use a sampling method similar to alexa.com did in the past, to estimate traffic across all sorts of websites. If their methodology is anything like alexa.com, it will be reliable for large websites but prone to error for smaller sites due to limited sampling. Below is how they present their methods on their About page.
The latest data seems to show growth in traffic to peakd.com and hive.blog. These are estimates, and the hive.blog data in particular seems like a rather extreme (and thus hard to believe) rise, but it does corroborate my own research showing increased usage of Hive by the Hispanic community, especially in Venezuela.
The coingecko report a little while ago highlighted that these sites have some very dedicated users who use the sites all the time, but get very little in terms of external traffic in the way steemit.com does. I cannot determine if there has been any change in this regard with just the freely available summary.
Peakd.com
Peakd.com sees a sharp rise in ranking in Venezuela in May. However, the global ranking declined. This is in line with my own findings
Overall we don't see much change in traffic.
Incidentally, in May Reddit was the leading social media driver of traffic to peakd.com. This was the month when two posts by were shared on Reddit and were the top most viewed posts on the site. Clearly similarweb.com has some ability to track real traffic.
Hive.blog
The change in rank for hive.blog is much more extreme. I am skeptical of the degree of rise, but it's still in line with rising traffic from Venezuela.
Overall a 10% increase in traffic from April to May. I believe this figure should be treated as having a high margin for error.
