Yes. There it's currently centralized.
Yes. There is down vote abuse.
Yes. There is an oligarchy.
Yes. The control freaks will not give up their seat of power easily.
Yes. I am aware of the censorship.
Yes. I know it feels irrational to stay.
Yes. I know there is many things wrong in that environment.
I can keep going. Naming everything that is wrong with it just as the same as naming what is right. The thing is. It doesn't matter where I go because it's the same. Danger lurks around every corner. Safety is an illusion.
This is more about principals and my stance. Albeit, the location may change, but we'll never escape the consequences of human behavior. Love, fear, guidance, greed, givers and takers, good and evil.
I have been on the quiet side mostly in the beginning of my journey in these graphene chains. Steamit, hive and blurt. I have observed and read many articles and behaviors from the top and from the bottom of the bucket of crabs. I have seen, for over a decade now, the bucket gain holes and be patched up on the system itself but some patches, like on the human side, remain unpatched. One a result of the other and vice versa.
I don't want to over explain for governance mechanics.
I’m not here to shout at the system. I’m here to remain inside it long enough that it has to account for me.
Now..
I don’t have to tell you things feel wrong here.
You already see it.
You see the downvotes used as leverage.
You see the same names controlling the levers.
You see reputation weaponized and called “order.”
You see voices filtered and told it’s “just how the system works.”
And little by little, people accept it.
They shrug.
They power down quietly.
They move on.
Some mock from the outside, pretending it doesn’t matter.
But all these reactions to leaving, shrugging, mocking, only stabilize the status quo.
This may be the only opportunity to equal the playing field.
And the structure remains untouched.
We’re told this is decentralization.
We’re told this is governance.
We’re told this is freedom with friction.
But friction isn’t the same as control.
And normalization isn’t the same as consent.
I’m not here because everything is fine but because it ain't.
Evil exists everywhere people gather.
The duty isn’t to flee it.
The duty is to stand where it’s uncomfortable and add weight.
I power up.
I stay active despite friction.
I do these things slowly and deliberately.
That’s the game. Whether you acknowledge it or not.
People think that leaving Hive for Blurt, where downvotes don’t exist, will suddenly make everything dandy. It won’t. The problems aren’t the platform. They’re human behavior. Power, influence, and hierarchy follow you everywhere. Changing the rules doesn’t change the people.
People want to leave to a different planet but they still will bring their wars with them. This is something much profound and much deeper than systematic structures at play. It's the same battle, the same war we have been fighting for tens of thousands of generations.
A war against your mind.
I may never see the outcome of this. This isn’t sacrifice for virtue. I’m choosing where pressure accumulates. I refuse to be bullied or erased, but I won't escalate. Not anymore.
You don't have to buy your leverage. But you can use all these chains to work for you to equalize governance. Make it more fair.
If we keep expecting the top to fix our problems we'll never know what we will get. And we won't have the right to give dissent because, after all, like the problems of our home world, we allow them to happen because of lack of accountability and responsibility.
So go if you want. Power down and join the next best thing. But as I have stated before. You'll bring your wars with you.
Power up or shut up.
