I just attended ' ecency meetup.
During the show and the others before it, I noticed, that his voice-connection sucks could be better.
He is doing a good job.
It's fun and it improves the experience on Hive in general.
You should join the next show.
The title says it's Turkish, but it is in fact, very international.
For a while, I was planning to write a post like this:
PSA: It's almost 2024; Get a headset, ffs!
Even before covid, voice conferences were a thing.
Now it's the standard.
It's common curtesy, especially in big rooms, to have a good microphone, activate CRISP, and to close your microphone if you got background noise.
I think I might suffer from mysophonia or something...
Bad sound quality and background noise and these things drive me crazy.
I also think it's a matter of respect...
...but instead of following through with that rant, I reminded myself:
Actions speak louder than words
I could go on a another rant about how this is the exact problem with Hive;
People talking all positively and then acting negatively, but...
...I noticed on my own blog and in my own behavior, that I am too negative these days.
Then, today, I got told directly: You are always complaining.
It's not my fault there is so little positive going on, on Hive and in the world, but it's true: I focus on the negative stuff too much.
So instead of complaining, I send 80 HBD to buy himself a decent headset.
He puts in the work, I enjoy the show - This is my contribution to it.
It's no secret that Turkey's currency took a big hit. Buying power is low.
I don't think he feels offended.
The tie is a bit weird, but I like the overall vibe of the picture :D
He is already putting in the work, he isn't complaining or announcing things that might or might not happen, but consistently delivering, despite his sub-optimal setup.
Do something
This is a reminder for myself and anyone reading: Do something about it!
I basically know exactly, which steps to take, but I am too comfortable complaining.
That's no good.
I need to take more action.
Do more positive stuff!

by Marcus Aurelius.
He does it right, so I bought him a mic. I should become a rapper, really
Feel free to vote this, so I can recover some of the cost 🙃
