Hello, I hope you don't mind me commenting on this. I found your arguments further up reasonable
Hi there erh.germany, I don't mind at all. I'm happy to see the conversation continue. I thought I was being reasonable as well, but I lack some insight on this specific problem. Thank you
You make some interesting points
We have both now compared the issue in question to an author selling a book. If they wrote a translation of their work, they should rightfully be allowed to sell it
This is the closest analogue to what we're talking about here but it's not entirely identical
Is there a genuine possibility that someone could abuse Hive to "rob" the rewards pool with machine-translated plagiarism? Hivewatchers, has this happened before? If so, to what degree?
Logiczombie, thank you for your comments
Arcange,
Nothing personal, I don't know you and I'm not familiar with your history on this site, but I have noticed the most recent Hive Financial Statistics post, linked below, is translated into Spanish, German and French, as well as English, and all four versions accept payouts. This is in contravention of the rule as expressed by Hivewatcher.
Were you aware?
I haven't looked further back beyond this post:
@arcange/hive-statistics-20211111-en
So for all I know, this could be a singular occurrence
And I hope everyone reading and writing here is well
