Good Morning,
I believe I have received enough information without influence to keep doing this part of my "project." Now I can look at things I have done in the past, to see if anything I do going forward is "too" biased.
That being said, I am going to be biased; everyone is. And I’m going to take most of the feedback, going forward, from stakeholders with large amounts of HP. Having a large amount of HP does matter HERE on HIVE. Being invested in the ecosystem does come with influence and I am receptive to that fact.
I deleted everyone on discord but I won’t commit to that forever. I am not promising I will add everyone back either and, I’m guessing if I do, the amount of people I do add will be very limited to the scope of “antiabuse.”
On the topic of "antiabuse" efforts, I think it is unreasonable to expect people to downvote "abuse" from their personal accounts; the outcome on here is just too ridiculous. When I say “the outcome,”
I don't even need to explain it, most people on HIVE know what I am talking about.
I think these "antiabuse" accounts doing downvoting manually makes the most sense right now. I will still hit the dislike button with my opinion on my account but….. I am subject to change my opinion and maybe I will run one of the "antiabuse" accounts one day too. Just to be clear, if I do run an “antiabuse” account, I will NOT vote based on my opinion but will focus on “HIVE abuse” based on my interpretation at that point in time.
At the end of the day, there are a lot of interesting people doing really cool stuff here. The latest hardfork is a great example. It’s a huge achievement!
I think more people should focus on the things that do matter here:
- Building HP so you can influence the ecosystem
- Voting for witnesses that run the best nodes
- Voting for witnesses that selected an HBD APR you agree is reasonable
- Upvoting proposals that you understand and care about
- Show deference to the people that have built and continue to build HIVE
This is not financial advice in any way. Being a member of the ecosystem is a personal decision that you decide and I’m not totally sure it should be financial. You really need to care.
There are lots of really smart and interesting people doing really cool stuff on HIVE. There are a lot of stakeholders that really do care about the longterm potential of HIVE.
I am going back to doing “my thing” and I hope everyone keeps doing their thing.
Cheers and good luck to everyone,
Mr. Skull
