Looks like Steemit, Inc. is targeting users (and who knows who else) in an email marketing campaign. MailChimp couldn't be happier!
This is the first time I've ever seen a promotional email from Steemit. Looks like they're calling the campaign, "Look What's On Steem".
For sure, I click over to Steemit now and again. Mostly to check how the emptying of my vesting is doing. I do, however, sometimes scroll the new and trending tabs while I'm there.
The scrolling doesn't last long and I don't think I found any posts to vote for. Cheetah Bot did stop by to warn me. Not for any web copy, but that I might be censored for mentioning HIVE.
The marketing technique comes across as a big curation of authors on the Steem blockchain. Notice the 1st category, "The Streets Where I Live Writing Challenge".
Hey! Isn't that a Qurator challenge this week? I thought I saw that it was....
I wonder if Steemit, Inc. (Sun) asked or even told any of these accounts that they'd be using their work for promotional material? I suppose they own the site so it makes it all legal.
Like I was saying, it wasn't that long ago but it wasn't for the purposes Steem wants. I won't be getting any friends to join but I have already been telling people to join HIVE.
I also remember the days when Steemit did some verification before activating new accounts. Lighting fast is a good thing, I guess, as long as you know what your getting in to.
And there's the final result. All rights reserved by Steemit, Inc. Located in Texas, USA. There's no mention of Justin Sun or Tron.
It's not the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Think I'll be using that unsubscribe feature. We'll see how well that works.
Happy Hiveing and thanks for reading.
