I'm not somebody that participates in Twitter contests a lot, mainly because I never considered myself lucky enough to actually win. But that changed on April 1st. As always, I read most Hive related tweets through @Theycallmedan. So, that particular day I came across @CryptoFinally's Hive contest post. At first I thought it was a joke, but I quickly realized that it wasn't. So, I decided, why not? I rarely enter, but I figured why not, as Hive is something I would promote anyway.
To much of my surprise, I received a DM on April 8th that I had won!
I must confess, I read the DM a week later, as I've been on a Social Media break for a solid 2 weeks and that was the first time I opened up my Twitter account after awhile. Which is also something I'll shortly address.
The coronavirus has had an enormous impact on the world. Aside from the 2.2 Mln cases, 170.000+ deaths, it has impacted politics, the world economy and local economies, but also has impacted families, relationships and mental health. For me, my social media timeline became spammed with a lot of information that really didn't resonate with me. I tried to address it, give it a positive twits, but it kept getting worse. Worst of all, it was impacting me to an extend that I was worn out mentally and lost my motivation to do the things that mattered most in my life. So I took a break. A social media break, on all my accounts, including a break from writing on Hive as well. I came to Hive several times, to read some content and respond to certain posts, but decided not to write anything for awhile. In the past 2 weeks, I've gotten back on schedule with my daily work, added a couple of new clients, built up a quarantine school concept for my kids to do 3 times a week and finished off some tasks that I kept postponing for months, while slowly getting better mentally as well. In the end, I feel I made the right decision.
Now, finally, I'm ready to announce that I've won 250 Hive!
So, What's next?
Interestingly enough, I already know how I'm going to use the 250 Hive to reinvest in the Hive Blockchain.
Investment 1 - Prize Hive Power Up Day
Every month, organizes the Hive Power Up Day, known as the HIVE-PUD-INTL, which occurs on the 1st of every month.
You can check out more about the next HIVE-PUD-INTL on May 1st, 2020 here > @streetstyle/hive-pud-intl-prizes-update-may-1-2020-hive-blockchain-community
I will be powering up 200 Hive of the 250 Hive won on May 1st, 2020 and will sponsor 100 HIVE Power Delegation for 3 Weeks to two winners as a prize.

So , I guess it is official 😉.
Investment 2 - Prize Maynia
A couple of weeks ago were talking about March Madness, a month long writing challenge on the blockchain hosted by the
and how much we needed to have such a challenge again. And the prayers where answered (I'm pretty sure
was somehow involved in making that happen) and in May, we will have the first edition of #Maynia on the Hive blockchain.
In short:
Maynia is a month-long writing challenge in which aspiring writers try to write 50,000 words towards a complete story by the end of May. The daily goal is approximately 1613 words, though you can do more or less each day as long as you reach the golden 50,000 mark.
It will take place on the Hive blockchain and if you'd like to know more and/or sign up, you can do so here > @freewritehouse/maynia-sign-up-now
As I have 50 Hive left from the Twitter contest, I decided to sponsor it as a prize for Maynia.
So, I guess that is it for now. I will first get back to posting here on a regular basis and then try to fully be active on Hive again. At least I'm happy to be contributing again.
