A couple nights ago I was thinking about ways to add more fun and excitement to the Hive community and I came up with an idea for a competition - No actual computer hacking knowledge necessary! I'd like to get all of your feedback on this.
Here's how it would work
- I would create a new Hive acount on blocktrades and write down the randomly generated 32-digit master password.
- I would fund the account with the prize(s) which would likely be liquid Hive, but could also include HBD, Hive Engine tokens, etc.
- I would write a clue for each of the 32 digits and try to make them somehow related to Hive.
- I would then make a post announcing the "Hive Hacker Challenge" with the account's username and the clues.
- Anyone who wants to could try to solve the clues to construct the password and then enter it in Hive Keychain or another login method to unlock the account.
- The winner would then be able to transfer the prize to their own account and could even make a post from it to proclaim themselves the winner!
Example questions
The actual challenge would have clues for 32 characters, but here's a small example of what they might look like if the password to the account as "u9t":
- The only vowel in the last name of the TRON founder who purchased Steemit Inc. (lowercase)
- The number of rounds that you'll have to wait to play your most powerful spells in Ragnarok.
- The second letter in the original name for Splinterlands. (lowercase)
Let me know what you think
Hopefully this makes sense! Let me know what your thoughts are in the coments!
If I do this, would you participate in the challenge? How big of a prize would be worth it? Should the questions be more difficult (or easier) than my examples? Do you have any ideas for how to make it even more fun?
