Greetings to all the dear readers, today I want to bring you another installment of how to live in the PETARE neighborhood cataloged as the most dangerous in Caracas, Venezuela and Latinomerica.
This time we will focus on how these inhabitants live day by day among garbage, dirty streets, very humble garage sales, since not everyone has an economic option to visit supermarkets (few) in the area.
We will also be dealing with the transportation issue, since the lack of fuel and also a very old and worn-out vehicle fleet, almost similar to the one that CUBA has sustained for years, hits all citizens every day.
To begin, we want to show the beautiful view that these inhabitants of the great mountain that surrounds the city have and contrasts with the humility of their homes.
These 2 images show us the terrible state of health to which the inhabitants and pedestrians who move daily on this route are exposed.
We can also observe how people rummage through the garbage in search of something edible. You could say that these cases are increasing in each garbage dump.
In the case of the waste collection company, we can say that it is in charge of the state entities, it is a dependency of the Mayor's Office of the Sucre Petare municipality, which is not well equipped with vehicles that are mechanically suitable, in addition to being few units that have the great task of cleaning this great extension of inhabitants that is around 500,000 people.
We can see that the workers do not have any type of tools, they literally pick up all the garbage with their hands, they are also exposed to many diseases.
In this series of images, I can show you what shops and supermarkets are like for the inhabitants, they are sellers of fruits, vegetables, etc. In addition to selling used clothing, due to people's low purchasing power, they are forced to make this type of purchase, where unhealthy conditions endanger their health.
This is the day-to-day of any PETARMAN who has to walk a lot due to lack of public transport, where the facilities are obsolete and abandoned.
We can see how there are a large number of people lying on the street, walking at their best, with few units of public transport. Many of these people are not vaccinated and do not use the mouth mask, also in the public transport that they manage to board, many people go together and risking their lives as they are hanging from the doors.
But what I want to emphasize the most is the total abandonment of garbage collection, these people live exposed to many germs.
In the next installment, I will try to go deeper into the communities, although it will not be very easy, due to the high crime rate in the different areas. If you do not know someone important in that sector that you visit, you will not even be able to take out your mobile.
I hope to see you in a next installment.
GOD BLESS YOU.
