Yesterday I caught this Tweet by 3Speak and comment under it on Twitter. And I have to say that I agree with Bil.Prag here.
Even though this new term might be more precise, does it actually serve a purpose better?
Will it be more impactful than lets say... "Own Your Account"?
The reason Im writing about this single tweet here is because it reminded me of something that happened a few days ago in one of the discord channels I frequent.
Its a discord channel with a lot of, what you would call ex-Hivers (that are still technically Hivers😂), a few of them that bought Justins talking points.
The thing that surprised me is that there was a large number of people that didnt have even the most basic understanding of the simplest crypto terms. They obviously heard the terms before but had no idea what they actually meant.
They didnt understand what liquidity was, what an "insider" would be, they had 0 understanding of what decentralization is, they didnt even know the basic features of the token they were holding, how a fork worked, how any of that related to each other... The basic stuff.
My point being:
People tend to have no idea what any presented term means and they tend to lack the capacity to recognize any of it in practice.
What matters is how they perceive the gravity of the spoken words.
Very few will understand what you are talking about, but most will understand when something important is said.
When presenting a case externally, I dont think its a matter of being precise, its a matter of making what you consider important, appear important.
And the best way to do it, imo, is to keep it simple with emphasis on presentation.
Going back to Freechain, now that the script is finalized and it went out to the narrator to record his parts, I still think:
Have we made it simple enough? Have we made the points as impactful as they can be? Have we clarified enough what the audience should remember as important? Will they feel something once theyve finished watching?
