Have seen so much talented people doing everything from digital art to programming something new to the platform. There are usually limitations for the needs to be met, especially for lack of information.
One is the monetary, not enough numbers. An exchange can be negotiated, perhaps a promise to help someone else is enough, as in Timebanks. When the tokens are plenty, there is no artificial scarcity.
The big thing about the community exchange platforms is, that it works as a resource database and an appreciation and helping medium. When the basic needs are met, there is no need to pile up just monetary numbers.
The Finnish government has been taxing organized neighbor help, based on the token Tovi, which corresponds to an hour of time. So basically they say, that you need to pay them for being altruistic.
There was a recent study, where the Finns are the most authority-obedient people in the world. Imagine, before even the Vikings were afraid to mess with the people. Shows the power of hiding the history.
Being no longer stuck there, there is a hope to find some locals and travellers to start a new community, built on the Hive, being like bees. There are some new promising marketplaces of skills and talents upcoming.
Hiveskills is a fresh CV-oriented community, where users can list their skills and whatnot. Had a conversation about it with some time ago, and in few hours, there was this new thing brought up.
So throwing ideas out there really pays off, in the sense of motivated people making the platform better for all of us. Lot of the code is hidden, needs a lot of time and brainpower to fix errors and make new stuff up.
For the beginners, Hiveonboard seems to be evolving rapidly, now getting the account creation limits fixed. Looks good too, easier to approach the ecosystem with simplified steps.
Another new project is called Hivelist, using Steempress dapp to make an Wordpress-compatible exchange platform for goods and services. Being built many sites on top of WP, can see a lot of potential here.
Found a list for categories from the old Timebanking times for inspiration. Anything to add to the list, recommendations?
