One year has passed since probably one of the worst things that ever happened to me happened, loosing my Hive active keys. It was probably the worst year in my life, it has been quite horrible to see it all end and it took me a long time to heal mentally from it, but all that is now far behind me, lingering too long on things lost wont bring any closure. Right now deep into bear market all the value on this account is still 6-8k $ I will never be able to move.
On more positive note I still have my posting key, on my other account Im mostly active on Splinterlands where my xbot lite accumulated 15k sps from delegated cards and sps from my main account, I guess all things considered it is not 100% lost, some of the things can be delegated to other account if you still have a private key. Still Hiveing on basically.
Right now Im still in crypto overall watching all the promise not being realized and seeing most of the projects die out. Ive been into many gaming projects that rug pulled and left their communities with worthless tokens and NFTs. I feel those people behind all the failed projects deserve some sort of punishment, but they stole their money and set sail into sunset. The things Ive seen would make many legal teams pull their hair out how easy it would be to jail them, but in crypto nobody cares. Just to name a few where I participated that are now offline and gone, promising one was Walking Dead Empires on Gala, Pirate Nation, Realms of Alurya, just a few big ones, I will not even mention smaller ones.
There are some web3 games that are still lingering around and are very hard to put down like our own Splinterlands (stay strong and keep delivering content, prove everyone wrong). Off the Grid is a very capable and playable battle royale but everyhing they do in terms of crypto and tokenomics is dead wrong, their Gun token is a laughing matter, but like I said still a decent game. Illuvium is also one of those games that are still alive and will deliver a brand new MMO Lite experience, Im looking forward for that this year. RavenQuest on Immutable X is decent but it looks like a game from late 80s and is very grind based.
I watch some new gaming projects like Valannia on Solana that in the long run could be good but it is still very early to make a correct call on where will they end up. All in all it feels right now in January 2026 that blockchain gaming is on its lowest point in history. Overall market condition changed and it will be hard to do things like before where every crap made from amateurs could be valued in multi million market caps, now only the most resilient and actually good games will make it in this space.
Right now I have my own web page that I started building that is web3 themed, I will probably make a simple game to play it on there. It is giving me something to do and with the help of AI you can make something truly decent.
That is it from me for now, stay healthy and Hive on.
