It has been over a year since I last checked in on Hive and thought I would run through the numbers.
I was looking through Coingecko and saw Hive Marketcap as ~$35M as they do not remove the non-freefloating DAO controlled tokens. This doesn't seem so bad until you see the size of the DAO which hasn't gone down proportionately with Hive holders because around $23M of it is in HBD alone...
Add on the non-DAO controlled HBD of nearly $11m and you can see the HBD debt is almost the same as the undiluted Hive equity!!
Running through the numbers and we have a debt limit of >106%!! A year ago it was just 14.5%... the lower Hive price has a huge impact. Wen "debt limit"?!
Let's see what next year brings when we return to a bull market, see you then!
