I created the Crypto & Cola Show four months ago as I wanted to bring together the Hive community in one setting where we could discuss Hive and other crypto matters in a live hangout style show. I was prepared to be the main host of this show but I also realised I would need the support of co-hosts. Fortunately and
stepped in and they have done an excellent job.
Between us we have brought to life an engaging show for the Hive community that isn't affiliated to any one project or tribe on Hive. In many ways that's one of its greatest appeals, the show is literally for any and everyone on the Hive platform or anyone interested in crypto.
We started the show last year with a small audience but now we have built up what is now a regular large audience base. The show has been going from strength to strength. We have covered a lot of ground in these hangouts and it's been wonderful to witness the show's progress.
As you all know we also give out a 10,000 HP delegation each month to one fortunate Hivian, who gets to keep the delegation for a month before handing it over to the next winner.
It's been quite a ride. Sadly though due to on going issues behind the scenes I haven't hosted the show for the past couple of weeks as a result of promises not kept and a strong sense of being strung along, which doesn't make me feel good.
I fully appreciate that I'm a tiny little goldfish in this community with no real power and the Hive bigwigs know it. Nonetheless that should not be an excuse for very unethical behaviour - not ever. Off chain and on chain principles matter.
I suppose I could just walk away or hand the show over to someone else to run but that would be a cop out and would betray what I have created. But who knows perhaps that's the best option.
In essence that's why I am writing this post to see if there's anyone out there who might have a suggestion or two as to what I should do with the show? I could take the show to another Discord server. I have asked and
whether we should simply create our own server and hold the show there, where we would be free to do a lot more things with the show. But starting a new Discord from scratch is risky and people may not migrate. I have to say though this is my preferred option - to take it away from Hive officialdom.
I really enjoy the show and my co-hosts and
have contributed lots, they have been a very important part of the show and have stepped in admirably the past couple of weeks.
The question is what do I do with the Crypto & Cola Show? I thought I would check with the community, particularly if any of the following have any thoughts would you kindly share them with me, thanks.
Would appreciate any feedback, thanks.
Peace!
