Hello everyone, over the past few months I have noticed a decline in the interaction we are getting with our posts. I understand posts coming from @SPinvest might not be everyone's cup of tea because they are mostly SPI-related and if you are not invested, why would you be interested? I get that but even when I check the trending posts which should be the most active content on the blockchain, I see posts with 500-1500 upvotes and 2-5 comments and think 🤯.
What happened guys?
Before I found STEEM HIVE I posted stacking content on a silver stacking forum and my experience with writing was always releasing a post as a way to start a conversation. Back in the day on HIVE, it used to be like this where a post was a jump-off point to the exchanging of ideas, experiences and conversations where we would learn and build friendships through common interests and thoughts.
These days, half the comments we get are from worthless tip bot things and a few loyal supporters that comment, "Nice post, keep up the great work". There's no real interaction there anymore. Why? Thats the billion-dollar question. Maybe long-form content is dead, maybe the community is dead, maybe alot of things.
Whatever the reason, it's getting harder to spend 1-3 hours writing and compiling a post when I know it's not going to get any real feedback. Why bother when I can throw out a much less detailed post in 15 minutes for the same result.
What do you think?
