The $HIVE price is not doing too much at the moment, but at least it is staying over 20c. More interesting is what is happening with $LEO. It may surpass the 'legacy shitcoin' soon.

The Hive Snaps mobile app is moving fast and has reached beta. They even have a mascot called Hive account@snapie.

I am so pleased that I managed to hook Hive account@mcsamm up with the Somewhere On Earth podcast team. It is a cool show about technology from around the world and I have known the team since they did a similar show at the BBC. Hive account@mcsamm was interviewed about the Ghana borehole project and he talked a lot about Hive too. Please leave them some feedback on their social accounts. They are not on Hive yet, but perhaps we can persuade them to join. I know they gave up on Twtr.

I hope people are keeping up with news about Hive account@hivefest in Malaysia. If you cannot get there then there are other events going on around the world. One of those is Hive-Summit in Aachen, Germany later this month.

Friday Follows

• I always like to see people do cool things with social media. Hive account@ankapolo made a scale model of the solar system in a post.
• At Hivefest last year I met some people from Hive account@skatehive. They have a lot of stuff going on, including their own Hive front end and skaters are posting lot of stuff in our short form feeds.
• Hive account@ebass has been interviewing people from the Hive community. He asked me to come on his show, but I have just been too busy lately.
• I see Hive account@ravenmus1c has been creating graphics for various people on Hive. Any project needs eye-catching visuals, so talk to her if you need some.

The DogHouse

We are seeing a lot of brand new accounts posting generic messages on Snaps lately. These ones even used very similar names. This is not adding value and I expect they only care about getting some rewards. The community can act to prevent that.

Although I think we have to act against abuse I do not hold grudges against people here. If I do not agree with them or get on with them I just avoid them. I definitely do not encourage others to downvote them out of spite. I want to see less conflict here, not more. Any such accusations against me are totally untrue. If you accused of acting like that on my behalf then I hope you will make it clear that I had nothing to do with it.

Hive will never be perfect. It can be like the wild west at times, but I still prefer it to other platforms. Nobody can stop you from posting here, but you have to accept that it is a small community and bad behaviour will stand out. Try to focus on the positive.
