Follow Friday - New CUB in the den

Got that Friday feeling? It is the end of the working week for many of us and also when I do #FollowFriday most weeks. It is my opportunity to share some thoughts on what has been happening around #Hive and to suggest some people to check out.

This week saw $Hive stay relatively high. Mind you, I just looked and there is a lot of red on Hive account@coingecko. I keep hoping we can get enough buzz going about Hive (need more bee analogies) to get more people interested in investing and getting involved.

The big news this week was Hive account@leofinance launching CUB. A lot of this financial stuff goes over my head and there is a lot of use of buzzwords that may not mean much to many of us, but it seems to have people excited.

I saw that I had been allocated some CUB on Hive Engine. I had some help from Hive account@bozz and Hive account@ervin-lemark to work out what to do with it. You have to create an appropriate wallet and convert the tokens here as they will expire in a few days. Then you can stake them here to earn something. I have made 0.033 CUB in just a few hours via this 'den'. The APR seems crazy, but I will take what I can get. Ervin helped me out with some BNB as you need that to pay for transactions. I assume we can buy it somewhere.

I recommend reading the document and to check out what people are posting about it. There ought to be a checklist of what you need to do and a glossary of what the various terms mean.

So to the 'meat' of #FollowFriday. I have not seen anyone else do these posts lately. If you do then let me know so I can vote and share them.

• Hive account@amy-explores is an British urban explorer brought here by Hive account@slobberchops. It can be tough for new people to get into how Hive works and a lot of work for their 'mentors'. We should do what we can to help the newbies as they may struggle and make some mistakes.

• Hive account@shawnlauzon warns us to looks out for phishing scams. It seems a lot of accounts have been compromised to send out junk comments. Be careful with your keys!
