The News

You will probably have seen lots of Hive account@hivefest posts. Even though it was a bit smaller than previous events it was still a lot of fun and very informative. There are also videos of all the presentations. There is a real mix there from the fun of Hive account@coldbeetrootsoup to some intense technical stuff.

I will do my usual crypto prices chart. $HIVE is down a little, but with all the projects and development going on it ought to improve. You have to play the long game with Hive. If you have HP then you cannot immediately dump it anyway.

I know there is stuff going on with Hive account@splinterlands, but I have not been paying too much attention. I know some people in Amsterdam were logging in for a big pre-sale. Others can tell you more about that. Splinterfest is happening soon in Las Vegas, so look out for updates from there.

Friday Follows

I am going to feature people who were at Hivefest. Many have had to power down to pay for their trip, including me. That shows their commitment to this platform.

• Hive account@brittandjosie was one of the first I met. She did not have to come too far and she made me very welcome. I know she has had some issues with downvotes, but has not let it put her off.
• Hive account@zirochka came from Kyiv to tell us her story. Hive is really helping people there.
• I had a great chat with Hive account@elmerlin who has made a big investment in Hive to back up his Hive account@liketu project. I think short-form content can have a future here. That is what most people consume and produce after all.
• I have known Hive account@bil.prag for a while, but only just met him. He took loads of great photos of the event.
• Hive account@ana-maria from Croatia has been on here almost as long as me. Hive account@lordbutterfly is also from there and was talking about the film he is making.
• Hive account@lemouth is a physicist who has worked at CERN. Imagine if Hive became a hub for scientists. They could publish on the blockchain.
• I enjoyed some beers with Hive account@pardinus and Hive account@xrayman from Portugal.
• I have to mention the Hive account@risingstargame crew of Hive account@jux, Hive account@ugochill and Hive account@tdctunes. I obviously think music can be a big part of Hive and these guys are making it happen.
• Thanks to Hive account@roelandp and his team that included Hive account@priyanarc, Hive account@blind-spot, Hive account@minigunner and Hive account@artakush. They made it a great experience for everyone and deserve a good rest.

The End

It can be hard to re-adjust to 'normal life' after the buzz of Hivefest, but life goes on. The next one may be on a different continent, but I expect that is still to be finalised. I always say that any time a few Hivers get together good things happen. We need events all over the world, so why not arrange something? You just need to set a time and a place you can talk. I have seen people get signed up to the blockchain at such events. Face to face has better bandwidth than online.
