The News

It was good to see some improvement in the $HIVE price this week. Most things are up. That may be helped by some cryptocurrency legislation in the US, but that seems to be mainly about regulating stablecoins as I understand it. The 'Genius Act' seems like another one named by a 5 year old.

You can see that $LEO is up a lot as they have stopped generating it and I think they are buying it to pay rewards. I hold a little, so that boosted my Hive Engine balance. I hold loads of coins there, but most are worth very little. I see people adding tags to posts to get such coins, but the rewards are tiny. My Hive account@proofofbrian bot catches a lot of people spelling a certain tag wrongly.

At the last Hivefest we had a preview of the documentary (or here) made by Hive account@mynewlife about the project led by Hive account@mcsamm to create water boreholes in Ghana. We need to get that out to the world so it gets many thousands of views. Post it everywhere.

There is a Hive meetup in Alicante (Spain) next April. There is an experience to be won and people new to Hive get free entry.

Friday Follows

• I see a few people posting weekly roundups about Hive and crypto on a Friday. I mention Hive account@gadrian most weeks as he covers a lot of Hive news. Hive account@bozz also does one that covers various things he has invested in, not just crypto.
• Hive account@meno is a busy man. As well as his cool Hive Snaps mobile app he is working on a simple payment app to let people spend their $HBD.
• Cartoonist Hive account@sidekickmatt is looking for people to collaborate on creating a comic universe. I do not see too many others working in that area apart from Hive account@northwestnomad, but there may be some who want to get into drawing comics and this could be an opportunity to share ideas.
• Hive account@ph1102 did a nice interview with Hive account@alessandrawhite what I listened to live. She has run the Creative Work Hour on Zoom for years where creative people can meetup every day. She is on her travels again and was at a bit clarinet conference in Texas this week.
• On the music front Hive account@ale.dri has a cool drumming track, Hive account@nupulse put out another song and Hive account@harbiter covered a Muse song with vocals by Hive account@david.dicotomia. I keep saying that we should support music on Hive if we want more professionals to consider being here. We have a few, but most will not know about it. That also applies to other creative professionals such as comic artists.
• New Hivian Hive account@idleraiders is working on a dungeon crawling game.

The Dog House

In the dog house every week is anyone who tries to spam Hive with anything. You will get downvoted and everyone will block you, so there is no point. As Hive grows the RC cost of posting may well go up, so mass spamming may not be viable without buying a lot of HP. We can each help out with dealing with such issues.
