Powering up into 2026

I am into my tenth year on this blockchain and it still gets me excited. I have seen the price rise and fall, but it is the technology that gives me hope. We need platforms that do not depend on the whims of corporations and billionaires. People keep building cool stuff here without having to pay or ask permission.

Of course it is not perfect and there will be issues, but I think most have a good experience.

I have been powering up every month for a while to be part of #hpud and get a badge from Hive account@hivebuzz. Some of this has been funded by selling crypto assets I was not using. My focus is on HP so I can distribute rewards to good content.

Last year I averaged adding 2000 HP each month through posting, curation, inflation/interest and HPUD. So today I added another 2000 to start the year well. I am a long way from being a whale, but I hope I can play a part in making Hive better.

I used the Hive Wrapped tool from Hive account@emrebeyler to summarise my year. I have been busy with almost 7000 comments. A lot of those were Snaps using the nice Hive account@snapie app. I received almost 100k upvotes, but I never take those for granted even if they are automated. I have connected with many people online and in person to get this much support. That includes going to 4 Fests in different countries. I met up with a few Hivers in the UK last year.
