Good writeup on the basics of HIVE.

The fun thing is that if you look deeper at what HIVE can do that's when you really step back and go ohhhh, that's cool :)

The undeletable nature of the blockchain, custon JSON, and the hive-engine that sits on top of it make it crazy powerful for so many applications that it frustrates me that it hasn't caught on yet.

As you mentioned, it is a living laboratory :)
