The place seen in the photo is a palace that has witnessed the history known as İshak Pasha Palace, located in Doğubeyazıt District of Ağrı Province.
This palace is known as the last and largest palace built by the Ottoman Empire. The palace, which has witnessed these centuries, has approximately more than 100 rooms. There is a mosque with a single dome inside the palace. Inside the palace, there are cellars with very high rooms where prisoners were thrown, as far as it seems and as told by the guides who were there. There are motifs and embroideries on the walls as far as can be seen in the rooms inside the palace. While we were visiting the inside of the palace, we saw that the upper parts of the stones lined up side by side equally were cut in the form of water troughs, and when we asked the guides there why these grooves were caused, they said that the palace where the heating system was used for the first time in the world was Ishak Pasha Palace. As a result, I learned that the Palace was the Palace where the heating system was used for the first time.
This palace is close to the neighborhood called Yukarıtavla, approximately 5 km east of Doğubeyazıt District.
