Did you attend this year's HiveFest in Rosarito, Mexico? I hope so, and... lucky you! 😁 If not, don't be upset, you still have time to get in the last car of the train heading HiveBeeCon in Krakow! When? On October 7th!
It started when someone proposed to share our sadness and loneliness regarding not going to HiveFest. I couldn't say it better.
Wait, not really. It all started when it was officially announced that HiveFest will be held in Rosarito this year. Deep inside, I was thrilled and excited, but the more I researched the topic, including the itinerary, costs, the need for a visa etc., the more I came down to the earth. Even if I found an inexpensive solution it still takes more days to get there and back than for the fest itself. With my unexplained health condition, it will be difficult for me to do this myself. Myself because my husband are in AF while the war is ongoing.
I was about to accept the odds when suddenly the idea of visiting Krakow was born. And it is quite real as Krakow is way closer to Kyiv than Rosarito. So whatever it is - I am in! And I am actually so grateful!❤️
It is called the Royal Road for a reason. The Royal Road is the most famous historical landmark of Poland and its ancient capital, Krakow.
Have you been to Krakow before? I was, once, in 2013. And it looked more like a check-in than a touristic sightseeing because it was a holiday trip for schoolchildren (I came with my daughter Nst). We had only 1 day for Krakow with a departure in the evening, but one of the children got lost and we all were searching for him on the phone with his mother who stayed in Ukraine. So my most vivid memories are of me rushing there and back peering at the crowd of tourists and locals.
This time, I'm going to take my chance. And "wandering aimlessly" will be the best part of it. To be honest, the upcoming event added more "live life" to my existence, and I am very much looking forward to see familiar faces whom I befriended during the HiveFest in Amsterdam last year (and I hope secretly that they will be as many as possible). Also, I hope to meet new people as well and extend my "bubble".😁
So, I can confirm that all the preparations are done which are train tickets and hotel reservstion. This year, I managed to buy train tickets Kyiv - Przemysl and back, and Przemysl - Krakow and back. Still can't believe it. Just went and checked.😜 Last year, it was almost impossible and I had to travel by Flixbus which is the best option of bus travel but still most uncomfortable.
Now crossing my fingers that a Russian missile doesn't damage the train tracks or anything else that might prevent me from coming and seeing you. Yes, you, so you still have 2 weeks to buy your tickets! And make sure you subscribe to to get the latest updates, thoughts and ideas.
P.S. I used my photos I took in Amsterdam last year on the Closing Dinner. Awesome memories... Hope to get new soon. 😉
