#TravelThursday Ep. 2
As part of the #HiveBloPoMo ;I'm blogging about a place I've visited during my travels! These blogs will be on Thursday... Also because it's a throwback 😃.
This we're revisiting Barcelona, Spain.
I've been lucky enough to visit this city 3 times in my life. Each time I've seen another side of it but I think my trip in 2014 was my highlight.
It was on this trip that I stayed in the city center and I was able to randomly explore the streets (on my own).
I remember walking a few blocks and entering a few bars/clubs just to explore and the amount of activity on that neighborhood was surprising. It felt like the city never really slept, even on weekdays.
Barcelona is famous for a few things... One of which is FC Barcelona their football (or soccer) team. Fun fact, I actually dislike the team with a passion as I'm a Real Madrid fan 😃😃😃. That being said, I recognize an opportunity when I see so I didn't say no to watch a game in the famous Camp Nou....
I mean I'm a sports fan after all!
Messi and Neymar
Another highlight is their architecture headed by Gothic architect GaudÃ.
If you're ever in Barcelona you'll recognize his style right away. His work includes La Sagrada Familia one of the most popular holy sites in Europe.
But there is a lot of architecture to see in general.
We took the hop on hop off bus so I got the see all around the city!
Hope you enjoyed another trip down memory lane! Share yours below!
Cheers,
Gyanno
