A #hivefest Photojournal Series, Part 2 by
- First part
Before one steps inside this destination resort, there is a one-hundred-year-oldd spoiler alert above the vestibule door, "Por esta puerta las mujures mas hermosas del mundo," or "through this door – the most beautiful women in the world." Clearly, the pair of Hivians I met here are beautiful hombres in their own right. I'm introducing César 😎 (left) and ✌️ (right), so you can recognize them this September in Baja.
There are a few eateries and bars at Rosarito Beach Hotel, so you can easily grab a bite and a drink without leaving the hotel. I'll highlight some of them here and show some outdoor event spots.
🏨 One of the hotel eateries is Azteca Restaurant. I was seated at Table no. 70, which has a plaque dedicated to the memory of Hollywood actor Robert Stack, most known for the tv series The Untouchables. From his table, this was his view.
🏖️ That portion of the building seen across the courtyard is one of the HiveFest8 event spots!
Just look how close it is to the sea foam waves of Rosarito Beach!
🏖 On my way back from the beach, I climb the Mexican tiled steps toward the mission bell. Some of the strolls are like walking through a painting.
🏖 This is another of the HiveFest-8 event spots at Rosarito Beach Hotel. On the stage are all the umbrella bases that get filled for events. Imagine the entire field filled with brollies!! As I take this photo, the beach is right behind me.
☕️ This is my kind of heaven – a coffee shop open fourteen hours a day and a beach bar open by midday!
🌮 What a perfect spot to find yourself...or how to find the Shrimp Tacos fast!💨
Chabert's is the fine dining restaurant of the Rosarito Beach Hotel. Hint: make your reservations along with your travel arrangements for a better choice of booking times.
During my visit, the painters upgraded and detailed the hues to be ready for HiveFest-8. Note the paint supplies (lower right).
🍹 This is the Al Fresco seating area and service bar. The tiles are small works of art!
🍹So use your imagination, not just to visualize a bartender mixing Mexican salty-rimmed concoctions at this freshly painted serving zone, but imagine yourself here, with your HIveFest-8 ticket to hand and perhaps a drink. 😉
