The past week has been dense - a lot of systems got shipped or significantly reworked. Here's what's new in Syndicate Protocol.
⚔️ Boss Encounter Overhaul
The boss encounter screen got a complete redesign. Each outcome — Win, Loss, and Retreat — now has a distinct look so the result hits immediately:
- Full-screen background images per outcome (win / loss / retreat)
- Hero outcome cards with unique icons, color washes, and accent lines
- Portrait overlay tinted per outcome (emerald / rose / amber)
- Power comparison row color-coded to outcome
- Animated boss reveal cutscene with a video intro per zone before the encounter begins
- Stacked chevron threat indicator showing boss danger relative to your crew power
- Boss power tooltip showing the full breakdown (base × tier × boss level × territory scale)
📋 Quests System
Quests are live. Weekly objectives that track progress automatically:
- Quest board with icons per quest type
- XP progress bars
- Claim rewards on completion
- Leaderboard now counts successful ops only — no more passive farming
🎒 Inventory & Chest Reveal
The inventory page got a major upgrade:
- Chest reveal animation — full overlay with shake → burst → card reveal sequence
- Shard cards redesigned — compact layout with bound/tradable split, transfer and list actions
- On-chain transaction IDs shown after chest opens and shard mints
- Collectible piece drops tracked and displayed
👥 Crew Cards
- Upgrade and dismantle buttons now use rarity colors (amber for legendary, fuchsia for epic, sky for rare, etc.) with matching glow
- Trait slots redesigned — filled violet gradient with left accent bar, "Craft trait" slot hints in violet on hover
- Filter bar rebuilt: search + filter toggle with active count badge, scrollable status/class/rarity chips, no more overflow on mobile
📱 Mobile UI
Significant mobile pass across the whole game:
- Profile bar — larger avatar, cleaner level badge, XP bar, balance all on one row
- Encounter overlay now portals above the bottom nav correctly (was being hidden)
- Leaderboard timer moved below the description, no longer fights the heading
- Inventory shard cards tighter and readable at 2-column
- Bottom nav no longer covers the Retreat button during boss encounters
⚙️ Zone Ops
- All reward calculations (XP, cash, stamina, chest drop %) centralized into shared functions
- Chest drop rate with insight bonus now shown on job cards and encounter screen
- Stamina drain and crew flavor text added to operations
