On Friday I thought I had 6 hours of windows ahead of me. I’d made an appointment for 8AM. Well, “I” made an appointment, the vendor neglected to write it in. The worker never showed up. They said they’d find a replacement. By 9:30 I told them never mind, it was too late.
I’d planned to make the amendment for the gardens on Friday, but changed the plans due to the appointment. So neither amendment nor windows got done. I’d put off doing the last seed starting because I was doing windows. That didn’t get done either.
Mind you, I had started the process of getting a worker to do windows back in January! By then end of Friday they had finally booked me for June 5th! If the worker shows up… Just a tad steamed, just a tad….
I’d sent my helper friend out to the Small garden to weed it. Next Thursday when my general helper comes, we have to clean out hay from a barn and I planned to put it here. So at least this got done on Friday.
He had gotten this far in the Big garden on Thursday. It needs amendment and pea fences before we can plant.
I had to be inside in case they called with a worker. So I finished feeding the seedlings inside and got all the house plants watered. Then late morning I went out and fed the plants in the cold frame. All that standing, something I usually have help with, wiped me out. I’ll be glad when my general helper is back!
In the New East garden the bleeding heart is much smaller this year. It was many times this large last year.

On Saturday rain is coming after 11 AM. I have to get the last seed starting done by myself. There are 6 trays.
