On Thursday my general helper was here and we worked on the seedlings, taking the ones that were up out of covered trays so they could grow properly. Mostly I sat and recorded what she did, as I was still wiped out from windows. (I’d slept 12 hours Wednesday night.) Then she got them fed and watered, as appropriate.
We did errands and when we got home I remembered one I’d forgotten. The car had to stay here as it was to be detailed, so she went in her car to do the last errand.
It was a beautiful day outside so I sent my helper friend out to weed the walkways in the New Herb garden.
That took him almost all his time on Thursday. It wasn’t bad yet so it went quickly.
The general helper resumed feeding and watering and while she did that, I starting picking up all the messes made doing windows on Wednesday. In this window I had to wash the crystals and put them back up. Now it’s all together I just realized I forgot to put the screen in. Sigh…
The guy to detail the car arrived at 12:30 and got to work. The car was a terrible mess (he got videos for his promotions) but I don’t have any before photos. I’d hauled hay in it, dirty stuff back and forth to the barn, and never cleaned it out since my husband did it before he died in 2020. It had been through the carwash but that was all.
He was here all afternoon and did a fantastic job.
I’d loaded my stuff back in before I remembered to get photos. I’m really pleased with how it came out. He’s starting a new detailing business, and this car will be a good promotional item for him.
After I’d rested a while in the afternoon, I walked around and deadheaded the fried daffodils. There are a few late flowers that missed the heat.
The small quince in the front yard has buds now. It’s more shaded than the Big quince in the Big garden so comes along later.
On Friday I have both helpers again. My helper friend and I will be tackling the office windows and my general helper will be cleaning up the rest of the messes from Wednesday and putting the screen in the bathroom window. When my helper friend leaves she and I have to take the car in for inspection. It’s 6 weeks overdue. Ooops!
It’s to be a beautiful day, but after 3 hours of windows, I think I’ll be wiped out.
