IT’S MOVING DAY!
It’s ironical how in the month of my first anniversary on Steemit, I’m basically moving to another platform, lmao. Do I regret it? Not really, I’d like to think of Steemit as a trial version; useful but not memorable. The only thing that made it stand out to me were the tribes and the DAPPS, not the page itself.
Hence, I’m not apologetic on my moving to https://hive.blog
For now, it won’t be a full transition as I’ll take time to adjust, but mostly because I want to see what some of the Steem Dapps will do. Will they join us, or will they stick to the old Steemit?
For now, let me help you if you’re overwhelmed by this moving, just like I was a few hours ago.
Exciting News
First of all, the version of SteamPeak for Hive is already live! Simply go to: https://peakd.com/ and log in; I recommend you use your steem keys and NOT the keychan extension, to ensure a smooth transition. Next step will enlighten you on that regard.
Common Issues
If you’re experiencing problems with Hive: aka not being able to post on Hive, or double posting on hive and steemit, despite not having posted on Steemit or SteamPeak. Check these posts bellow for more info!
Why you can’t post on Hive: @themarkymark/how-to-install-hive-keychain
In the first case, the reason you can’t post on Hive it’s because the default API of your keychan it isn’t on a node supportive of Hive. You only have to change it, and the issue will be solved.
Double-psting issue: @bitrocker2020/how-to-use-keychain-to-login-and-post-on-hive
In the second case, you must deactivate your Steemit Keychan, then proceed to download and installing the Hive Keychan. If you got both installed on your navigator, that’s likely the source of your strange case of double-posting.
I guarantee you it is a fast process, and you don’t need to be an actual a developer to understand how to do it.
I can’t log in on PeakD with my Keychan!
Uh, yes. You CAN.
If there’s an error featuring your Hive Keychan, it is likely because you’ve forgotten to add your Posting Key. Remember, when you authorize the Hive Keychan and create your password, etc. to add not only your Active Key, but your Posting Key as well. Once you do, you’ll be able to log in without problem.
If you’re not keen on the Hive Keychan, use peaklog.
Where is my Wallet?!
Do not panic! It is unknown why we can’t see our Hive wallets on the Hive site, but you can perfectly visualize it on PeakD.
Exchangers
BlockTrades, ionomy and ProBit have stated they’ll be listing HIVE token in their exchangers. Hence, trading won’t be an issue for Hive on the future.
