It was noon, and there I was minding my own business everyday. When my friend sent a message in the group chat. "let's go to Tagaytay."
so we as the receipents of said message asked why. and his answers range from celebrating a mutual friend's birthday of one week ago to curiosity on how cold Tagaytay's temperature it is now.
He then sent a picture of his car being tuned. at this point we understood. we are going to tagaytay that night. the last time we went there was 8 years ago and not at night.
So. What are we going to do there in the middle of the night?, buy coffee at starbucks in Twin Lakes-- A Leisure Complex.
To give you a scope on how far we are willing to go for a cup of coffee.
this is a screenshot of Google Maps street view of twin lakes with an overview of Taal Volcano since I can't really show it to you how beautiful it is. it was pitch black and it was closed.
The Taal Volcano can be seen in the distance surrounded by the lake.
Note: Taal Volcano is not just that 'hill' but the whole landmass surounded by the lake.
and so we met up and started our journey... for a cup of coffee.
Do you know this game? it's final fantasy 15, it's a roadtrip simulator. the experience we had is definitely like this but at night.
SLEX still in metro manila.
Hell we even have a designated navigator.
after a few hours in SLEX and CALAX and maybe due to the time. we saw fewer and fewer cars.
At this point we are travelling with open windows. the winds were cold.
our first destination, our One Week late Birthday Celebrant's house in tagaytay.
Shoutout to my phone Infinix Note 10 Pro for trying in low light visibility.
At this point most of us were wearing jackets... it's cold, really cold.
His family sells....pots. to hotels and ...stuff.
Like WOW! This pair sells for 500k PHP ($10,000 USD)
This one which you can definitely use as a bath tub sells for 35k PHP or (about $700 USD)
after that we decided it's time to go buy ourselves coffee at starbucks in Twin Lakes. we joked about how we went here just to eat at Fast Food Chains like Jollibee or McDonalds.
Unsurprisingly when we did got there, it was closed.
so we drove around until we end up in Nasugbu. Nasugbu is a place known for haunted locations. when we reached the arch "Welcome to Nasugbu". there were no more streetlights only DARKNESS. the only thing you can see are the road illuminated by the your vehicle's lights and Scary Trees that populate both sides of the road.
Since we knew there's no more shops we can find here and only ghosts... we decided to turn back.
We decided to buy take out and eat it at our friend's house.

just look at how dark it is. at this location you can hear electricty crackling on those High Voltage Transmission Towers.
We took a picture to commemorate this event, well I took a picture.
And so we ate food at our friend's house, talk abit and went home. I mean there's really nothing else I can say.
so we travelled about 150+ Kilometers for this, a total of 7 hours.
...
It was nice.
We should all make a habit of making time to waste time.
...
Cheers~
