Last Thursday until Saturday I was not able to roam around the Hive community and even discord as we went on a mini-vacation to my inlaws in San Pablo, Laguna.
It was a planned get-away as in my office we are allowed to take our time offs during Thanksgiving. I tried to use my mobile phone to check some stuff, update folks from time to time but still, nothing beats the experience of using a desktop in blogging.
For the past 2 days, each morning that we are trying to go outside and walk rain starts to pour in our area. As much as we love to roam around we can't do that yet and we need to wait for the sky to clear. Luckily last Saturday, when we decided to walk and use Dyn-dyn's stroller the weather is okay.
The place is called Lakeside Farms in San Pablo but the locals, in the area, call it "Imperyal" (Imperial). Around 5 minutes away from my in-laws' house this will be the scenery. According to my wife, this place is like a get-away spot from the rich folks from Metro Manila previously. There are homes built at the foot of the hillside and serve as a rest house from some of the local rich families around.
At this day, it is a place for farmers to tend on their cows as you may have noticed that there are multiple cows in the area. The greenery is perfect for them as they can graze the grass all day without any hindrances from the people around. Compared to our place in Biñan, this is a fresh sight as we do not have much in our vicinity. I can only see some cows near the slaughterhouse 😆
The upper area has been renovated as well as more people nowadays are into gardening. Due to the pandemic, many people shifted and become plantito and plantita. Some plants are sold in a high price which is a good opportunity to the farmers around. One of my inlaws neighbors are selling bonsai I wasn't able to take a picture of what is sold as a courtesy to them since I don't have any permission get one.
The sky started to get dim and we saw my inlaw going down the hillside already. He was done tending the animals in the area and since we have Dyn-dyn with us he told us to go home already as the rain may fall anytime soon. At this point we decided not to use the stroller and April will just carry her. The road is not concrete and rough thus using a stroller wasn't a wise choice especially if you will be running.
That sums up our mini-vacation here in San Pablo, Laguna. Aside from the vacation we also found our new place of residence within the area thus this place will be our new walking spot in the future once we moved out.
Thank you for reading my blog post and hope you also enjoyed your Thanksgiving holiday!
