Last month, I recognized that I needed to start recognizing Hive Power Up Day. Hive Power Up Day is best explained by and is supported by the awesome
team. If you want to learn more about how Hive Power Up Day works, check out Traci's latest post here. Per Traci's request I also supported my first proposal - the Hive Gamification Proposal for 2022.
June ended up being absolutely crazy. I traveled to Glacier National Park via Amtrak and flew back only to turn around and fly right back to Portland Oregon for a two day work trip. I also got a cold which meant lots of COVID tests to rule that out. In June we also helped my dad celebrate his 82nd birthday and both of my brothers celebrated birthdays - turning 48 and 60.
I've also resolved to write here on Hive every day in July. July is a little more settled of a month with less travel. That said, I also want to work on the whole scheduling feature of Hive a bit so I can feel more confident in writing things ahead of time when needed.
So, with that, it's time to PowerUp. Here are the rules taken from Traci's post:
The requirements are:
- Your reputation must be above 39 and below 70 and your account must be in good standing with the community.
- Your total Hive Power (before the 1st) must be more than 100 and less than 8000.
- You must power up at least 10 Hive on July 1st (and must NOT be powering down).
- You must write a post about your power up on July 1st with the tag #HivePUD (International) or #HPUD (Hispanic) as one of your first 5 tags (tagging only in the body of the post doesn't count).
Let's go one by one and see how I do.
Reputation
My reputation is currently at 55. So, this one counts.
Hive Power
My Hive Power is not yet at 100 so I know that I don't fully qualify but I like the idea of always powering up on the 1st regardless. It's a nice marker to aim for and has been for me to see how my posting patterns over the course of a month impact the amount of Hive I might have. It's part of what inspired my desire to do a month of posts.
Power Up
I think I powered up 14 hive today. (Note to self - write that down before pushing the button next time). It's fun to see my analytics to see how my account is growing.
Post
And, of course, last but not least is to write and post a PUD post which I'm doing here and I'm tagging.
I'm looking forward to learning more about Power Up Day again this month by reading posts of folks who are far more experienced than I am but I'm also very glad I participated! Here's to many, many more months of power up days.
