Today I woke up to a comment from HiveWatchers on my post @ayneblood/germany-2-sachsenhausen-a-nazi about my trip to Germany and my visit to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp.
The text, the images, the experience, the trip, was mine. But I took notes while I was there because I went with a guided tour, hired by the Spanish company Civitatis.
That's when the tour guide mentioned some dates, figures and I transcribed his words as he said them. Without knowing, that those phrases were already written on the internet (I imagine he used them to quote those phrases).
I repeat, in my case there were 3 or 4 sentences, which I am going to place here, because the rest of the post is mine and it is my experience. I have not copied it from anywhere:
The sentences that HiveWatchers pointed out were as follows:
"“Entre 1936 y 1945 más de 200.000 presos «vivieron» en el campo de concentración. Los primeros prisioneros eran adversarios políticos del régimen nacionalsocialista pero, más tarde, comenzaron a apresar también a algunos grupos que los nazis consideraban inferiores tanto racial como biológicamente.”
and
"“El 14 de abril de 1943, Yákov se arrojó contra alambre de púas electrificado del campo de concentración de Sachsenhausen y fue inmediatamente tiroteado por un guardia. Si quería suicidarse o escapar, o si su muerte fue organizada por los propios alemanes, sigue siendo un misterio hasta el día de hoy."
For 8 lines, for these 93 words; it went to shit the rest of my post with 2551 words. That it took me effort, to look for the photos in my computer, to try to remember everything and to leave my experience and reflection about this place.
Paradoxically this sad place, has left me with a sad memory of my brief time at Hive as I started my journey here on the 30th of September this year.
Moreover, it has not only affected this post, but also my previous posts of my Couscous recipe that I made with my hands, my words and my photos, my painted picture of the Simpsons boat, and my Binance tutorial that also took me a lot of effort and time to make, have also been downvoted. And in these last posts I don't think there are any words or phrases that match any other place on the internet as they are of my own, but I guess it all goes in a chain.
My mistake was to transcribe those 93 words as the Civitatis guide told us since I did not remember the exact figures and dates, nor, honestly, to write well the name and surname of Stalin's son.
Those 93 words were edited and transcribed already by my own words in order to be able to narrate the historical facts correctly.
I apologize for this, but if anyone thought I was doing it intentionally and wanted to profit from 93 words that were not mine, I didn't. However, my illusion of continuing to share with the community all my travel experiences, drawings, stories or recipes will not go away because I am a creative person and I have a lot to tell without resorting to plagiarizing anyone.
If this happened to me for, I repeat, 93 words; keep in mind that if you do it repeatedly and with complete posts it will surely be worse. So be well informed and, if you do like me who take notes from tour guides when you go on a trip, better tell those facts with your own words even if you cannot change the date or number of the historical fact, so this does not happen 😊.
Thank you all very much for reading and have a nice day.
I update again on two other posts with the same thing that happened:
@ayneblood/my-solo-trip-to-berlin-1-getting-lost-and-beginning-a-beautiful-friendship-eng-esp -> The same happened, I was with a tour, you can check in photos that I was in a walking free tour with an audioguide, so all they told is something historical and you not only find the same dates, words, and info in just 1 website, I think it's written in a lot because they are the same facts.
@ayneblood/dragonstone-game-of-thrones-scenario --> This time in their comment tell about a website that I didn't even know, because in my post I've put the official website of this place where the ancient story of this was told, and where you can buy tickets to visit it https://web.bizkaia.eus/es/gaztelugatxe
I am considering never telling any historical facts or giving any data ever again. I will only post the photos and tell my experience. If anyone wants more information just go there or hire a tour, I think it will be easier that way.
