Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. No doubt we all enjoyed our high school days in different ways. Sometimes the memories keep coming back, and we find ourselves smiling. People around us might think we are mentally unstable, but they won't know that one of the happiest moments of our lives came running back. We couldn't hold it all in, and we had to let it out. Some of us were timid, but at some point we realized that being timid gives bullies the room to treat you however they please.

All in all, high school was fun: rushing to school very early to copy and do assignments we couldn't do at home 😂, sneaking out of school to go hunting formangoes,s as well as going to a nearbyriver,r which was highly prohibited.Alll school wasfun,n bothas as junior and senior studen.,Ass a juniorstudent,t school is funtoo,o but when you remember that prefects are always on your neck and ready to devouryou, itucan benheartbreaking,g whileas as seniorstudent,s the only heartbreaking thing isexams,s ae noone ise hunting you anymore butyou areu doing the hunting.
Every level of high school came with its own type of fun. During my school days, I was the shy and timid type, easily intimidated, but along the line, I realized it was my timidity that's always attracting bullies to me. Imagine a fellow student coming to take my seat, and out of my timidity, instead of telling him to stand, I will stand instead until he decides to leave. I finally opened up and started making friends, and that's when I will say my journey in school started.
My friends and I fought a lot during school days. You dare not cross our paths, as one man's fight is a fight for all, and we never lost one. We are not troublesome, but if you want trouble, we will give you trouble. We all stand to fight when you try to step on us. The worst part of it all was our body size and stature. I had a very small body while in school, but the only thing that saved me was that I had height. I was very tall, and since I was born and brought up in the north, they call me "Dogo" in Hausa, which means tall.
Despite how playful we were and never taking anything so seriously like some other students did, it did not stop us from doing very well academically. Not bragging, but I was ranked among the top 5 students in my class. Whenever our class needs a representative in a competition within school, my name is mentioned, and when the school needs students to represent them in a competition, I am there as well.
I do perfectly well in exams and tests, but I hate being noticed by teachers, but my doing well in exams did not go unnoticed. In so many cases after the term ends, you hear teachers coming to ask who is Offia, as they were not expecting such a result from a student who does not participate in class. I am that type of student who rarely asks questions; I won't ask and I won't answer, even if I know the answer. I might whisper to my friends, but I won't say it to the teacher.
It's just me, but in my SS 2, I stopped being a ghost as the same teachers that taught us in SS 1 are the same teachers that will teach us in SS 2. They now know everybody and their capabilities, and to make things worse, I was elected as a class representative. That's how I stopped watching from the sidelines but was now part of the play.
Thanks for reading my post.
