It's been two months since I came across this artwork when I was out in my backyard. Until now I hadn't managed to share it here, but the day has come.
As I've told you before, I had the artist Julliana Rosa come to my house to paint a headboard in my bedroom. So, we also took the opportunity to make a mural on one of the walls in the backyard. The drawing made by the artist was sketched the night before the final painting, during a conversation with drinks. She created this totally personalized artwork for me and, for both of us, this drawing has a lot of meaning, because in a way it translates us. Both in our essence and in our current moments in life.
After a color test, we decided that the design would be completely red, to contrast with the pink of the walls and the green of the plants.
I think this "bird fish" creature is completely mythical and I really enjoy looking at it.
The day was quite cloudy and we were worried that it wouldn't take long for it to start raining. So we dried the painting with a hairdryer to speed up the drying process and avoid a huge disaster with red paint running down the wall.
In the end, we decided to add just a few details in light blue... in the flowers on the dress and the arabesque on the portal. And we think it was the most wonderful thing in the world.
After the wall was ready, we hurried to do a mini photo shoot to promote our work on social networks. After all, Julliana is a great artist and illustrator and I usually work with interior decoration.
I hope you liked it and I'm looking forward to showing you my next project.
